Beginning on July 1st, 2025, according to Minnesota DNR Law, if renting a boat/watercraft/pontoon you must have and show proof of a valid MN Boaters Safety Permit. If you are not a resident of Minnesota you must comply with your state or country’s boating permit or license laws.
